Experience a more personal approach to PRP Hair Restoration.
Dr. Hirsch personally evaluates your pattern of hair loss, discusses your goals, and determines whether PRP is the right regenerative treatment for you.
With more than 25 years of hair restoration experience, his focus is not simply treating thinning hair—it is understanding why your hair is changing and which approach best fits your individual needs.
PRP uses platelet-rich plasma prepared from your own blood to support existing follicles and healthier-looking hair growth. For patients who prefer an autologous regenerative treatment, PRP provides a non-surgical option using your body's own platelets and naturally occurring growth factors.
At DHmeds, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to hair restoration. Depending on your degree of thinning, follicle health, preferences, and goals, Dr. Hirsch may recommend PRP or discuss other regenerative and surgical hair restoration options.
From your initial consultation through treatment and follow-up, your care remains physician-guided, personalized, and focused on you.

Physician-Guided PRP Treatment Designed to Support Thinning Hair & Existing Follicles.
Is this Right for You?
Best for men and women experiencing:
PRP is designed to support existing, viable hair follicles. It does not create new follicles in areas where follicles are no longer present or active.
Dr. Hirsch will evaluate your pattern of hair loss and discuss whether PRP or another hair restoration approach is appropriate for your goals.
PRP | AUTOLOGOUS REGENERATIVE TREATMENT
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Hair Restoration is a physician-guided, non-surgical treatment that uses concentrated platelets from your own blood to support existing hair follicles and healthier-looking hair growth.
PRP may be an option for men and women experiencing early to moderate thinning, increased shedding, a widening part, or reduced hair density.
Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, is prepared from a small sample of your own blood.
During treatment, the blood is processed to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma, which contains naturally occurring growth factors involved in the body's normal repair and signaling processes. The PRP is then administered to targeted areas of the scalp to support existing hair follicles and the scalp environment.
Because PRP comes from your own blood, it is considered an autologous regenerative treatment.
One of the distinguishing features of PRP is that the treatment is prepared from the patient's own blood.
For patients who prefer an autologous regenerative approach rather than externally sourced regenerative products, PRP provides another physician-guided option for supporting thinning hair.
At DHmeds, treatment recommendations are personalized. PRP, Stem Cell Growth Factors, the DHmeds Exclusive 4-Step Regenerative Hair Restoration Protocol™, and NeoGraft® each serve different purposes within hair restoration.
The goal is not to choose the newest treatment. It is to choose the right treatment for you.
Both PRP and Stem Cell Growth Factors are non-surgical regenerative options designed to support existing hair and scalp health, but they are different treatments.

Stem Cell Growth Factors + Microneedling
Combines microneedling with regenerative growth factors to support the scalp and existing follicles.
For patients seeking a more comprehensive regenerative treatment, DHmeds also offers the Exclusive 4-Step Regenerative Hair Restoration Protocol™, combining:
Dr. Hirsch can help determine which approach best fits your hair-loss pattern, preferences, and goals.
PRP Hair Restoration is performed in our Sarasota office.
A small amount of blood is drawn and processed to isolate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma. The PRP is then administered to targeted areas of thinning across the scalp.
Treatment recommendations vary depending on the pattern and degree of hair loss. Some patients may benefit from a series of treatments followed by periodic maintenance.
Hair grows slowly, so changes should be evaluated over time rather than immediately after treatment. Results vary from patient to patient.
PRP may also be considered as part of a broader hair-restoration strategy for appropriate NeoGraft® patients.
While PRP is intended to support existing follicles, NeoGraft® FUE Hair Restoration moves healthy follicles from a donor area to areas where greater coverage is needed.
Dr. Hirsch has extensive experience in hair restoration and can help determine whether non-surgical regenerative treatment, NeoGraft®, or a combination approach is appropriate.
Your consultation includes an evaluation of your hair-loss pattern, existing follicles, goals, and treatment options.
Because every patient's hair loss is different, Dr. Hirsch will recommend an individualized treatment schedule when appropriate.
Complimentary Hair Restoration Consultations
Yes. PRP is prepared from a small sample of your own blood, which is processed to concentrate the platelet-rich plasma used during treatment.
PRP is intended to support existing, viable hair follicles and may help improve the appearance of thinning hair in appropriate candidates. It cannot create new follicles in areas where follicles are no longer active.
PRP may be appropriate for men and women with early to moderate thinning, increased shedding, reduced density, or miniaturizing hair follicles. A consultation is necessary to determine whether PRP is appropriate for your particular pattern of hair loss.
Treatment schedules vary. Some patients may benefit from an initial series followed by maintenance treatments. Dr. Hirsch will recommend a schedule based on your hair-loss pattern and response.
PRP is a non-surgical, in-office treatment, and most patients can return to normal daily activities relatively quickly. Temporary scalp tenderness, redness, swelling, or pinpoint bleeding may occur.
No. PRP is prepared from the patient's own blood. Stem Cell Growth Factor treatments use externally sourced regenerative growth factors. Both may be considered for appropriate patients, but they are different treatments.
Yes. Depending on your needs, Dr. Hirsch may recommend PRP as a standalone treatment or as one component of a broader personalized hair-restoration plan.
